I’d like to appologise to all readers, my fans and badminton enthusiasts for keeping my page aside for a while. I promise I’ll be updating it on the regular basis from now on.

Teheran, 3-6th of February 2010
In the beginning of February, Maja joined internatonal tourament in Teheran, called Iran Challenge 2010 (15.000 USD, 4000 points), where she reached 3rd place.
Having bye in the first round, she got walkover in the second as her oponent Hadyijeva Ogulnabat from Turkmenistan got injured before they started the match. In third round Maja beat Kareem Hadil from Syria with score 21:10, 21:15. In quarter-final she beat currently the best turkish player Aoznur Caliskan with 21:9, 21:19. In semi-final she did well, especially in the second set, but unfortunatelly that wasn’t enough to upset Japanese Rie Eto. She lost with score 1:12, 21:18. The next day Japanese girl won the final against Pv Sindhu from India.
With that result Maja has not only confirmed her position of World Ranking (45), but has also qualified for the upcoming World Championship, that will be held in Paris at the end of this August.
